KEITH HARING subway drawings book, to complete your collection! Over a five year period, in one of the most epic conquests of civic space ever ventured, Keith Haring (1958–1990) produced a massive body of work across the New York City subway system that remains to this day, some 30 years after the fact, daunting in its scale and its impact upon public consciousness.

The exhibition will bear witness to the importance of Haring’s work, in particular its profoundly “political” content, apparent in his work throughout his career.
Almost 250 pictures on canvas and tarpaulins and from subway walls – as well as twenty monumental works – will be exhibited at Le CENTQUATRE, making this one of the largest presentations of Keith Haring’s works ever.

Keith Haring

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

First designed for younger, this interactive exhibition consists of sixty original works by artist Keith Haring is also a great visual experience for the largest. Colorful glasses on their nose, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the playful and childlike of the artist. Keith loved to have fun and it makes good!
Car painted (during the race Le Mans) in the middle of the space whose walls display major works on canvas and metal. Through out the windows of a child’s room we can see a customized bed, a painting, toy… especially created by Keith Haring for his favorite audience: children!
His “vocabulary” and its symbols, hieroglyphs and modern poetry, serve as a guideline for the visit …
A moment of happiness to share with his children – workshops specially designed for the budding public are offered – or only to discover exceptional works lent by the Keith Haring Foundation, the Jérôme de Noirmont gallery, the Louvre and many others.
